At M&D Green Pharmacy, we offer private vaccinations across most of our locations. We also offer a full Travel Vaccination service.


How Does it Work?

Before Your Appointment

  • You will be asked to complete a short risk assessment form with our pharmacy team. If your answers don’t raise any concerns, you’ll be suitable to receive your vaccination.

Payment & Cancellations

  • Full payment is required at the time of vaccination.
  • If you feel unwell the day before or on the day of your appointment, please call the pharmacy to rearrange. 

Vaccinations

CHICKEN POX

What it does: The vaccine is available for anyone, aged between 1 and 65, on a private basis who is not eligible for the NHS vaccination programme, the vaccine helps to prevent chickenpox.

  • Vaccine type - injection.
  • Doses - 2 doses.

COVID-19

What it does: The Pfizer/Biontech vaccine is a widely used mRNA vaccine that provides strong protection against COVID-19, including many circulating variants. It reduces the risk of severe illness, hospitalisation and transmission.

FLU VACCINE

What it does: Annual flu vaccination reduces your risk of flu-related hospitalisation and complications such as pneumonia.
The flu virus changes every year, so yearly vaccination ensures your body is ready to fight the latest strain.

HPV VACCINE

Gardasil 9 protects against types of Human Papillomavirus (HPV). These include strains responsible for most cases of cervical cancer, as
well as cancers of the anus, penis, vulva, vagina, and throat. It also protects against genital warts.

MENINGITIS

Meningitis is passed from person to person who are in close contact via nasal or throat droplets, for example by coughing, sneezing or kissing. The meningitis ACWY vaccination protects you against infection from the A, C, W and Y types of bacteria.

Protects against four types of bacteria—A, C, W, and Y—that cause meningitis and septicemia.

MENINGITIS B

Meningitis is passed from person to person who are in close contact via nasal or throat droplets, for example by coughing, sneezing or kissing. The meningitis B vaccination protects you against infection from the B Types of bacteria.

Protects against that cause meningitis and septicemia.

RSV

What it does: The RSV vaccine helps protect against Infection with  RSV, a common virus that can make babies and older adults seriously ill.

SHINGLES

What it does: Shingrix helps prevent shingles (herpes zoster), a painful rash caused by reactivation of the chickenpox virus. It also lowers the risk of postherpetic neuralgia, a long-term nerve pain that can occur after shingles.
