About Us

72 High Street Pharmacy was established in 1890 in Johnstone and has offered a personal and high standard of patient care over the generations. This high standard of service has continued since the pharmacy became part of the M & D Green group in June 2015. The friendly and experienced staff understand the needs of their patients and provide advice on medication and ailments.

The pharmacy is located in the town centre and is situated at the corner of High Street and George Street. There is street parking available and a car park a few minutes walk from the pharmacy. Additionally, there are frequent buses (McGills: numbers 1,8,19,20,38)

The prescription collection service consists of a twice daily pick up from all the surgeries in Johnstone and once daily from the health centre in Linwood, Bridge of Weir, and Houston. Prescriptions can be delivered to patients in Johnstone, Linwood, and surrounding villages.

The pharmacy caters for patients who require a compliance aid which the staff arrange with the surgery. Other services include NHS Pharmacy First service, smoking cessation, chronic medication service, flu vaccines, asthma reviews are also conducted on the premises by the pharmacist which will then be forwarded to the patients’ GP.

In addition to healthcare advice the pharmacy has a large gift area, which includes perfumes, jewellery, handbags, candles and home interior items.
